.............A real taste of rural France
Our Quad is a 2009, 200 cc Loncin explorer. You will need a full driving licence to drive the quad on the roads. The quad drives like a motorbike, with five gears and all the controls of a motorbike. The quad is road licenced for one driver and one passenger. If you both hold a full licence you can take turns
Those who are familiar with bikes or quads can hire the quad for the morning or afternoon. The routes start at your doorstep and we can suggest routes for your level of experience.
For those who are unfamiliar with quads. You can be given a run through of how to use the quad and you can be taken into the forest for a blast on some easier routes. Once you are confident you can hire it for the hour, or the half day. Again we can suggest routes to suit your experience.
The videos on the right are of our 11 year old daughter driving the routes in the local forest.
There are no rules & regulations with the quad hire. Unlike most quad hire there are no guides and you will not be in groups. It will be just you ( and a passenger if you choose).
You can go at your own pace. The quad is road legal so you can stay on the roads if you prefer. There are plenty of larger scenic forest tracks ( as the picture above) that give you the off road experience at a more leisurely pace. There are also plenty of adventurous routes that will challenge even the most experienced riders. Its your choice.
Rides start straight from the door. If you prefer not to use the roads, you can access the chemins straight from the garden
The main chemins are classed as public highways and the usual laws apply including wearing crash helmets. We have a few helmets.
We expect the quad to be returned undamaged although lots of mud is allowed !!!
